The DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organization) works under the defense research department. Its goal is to enhance self reliance in the defense departments and also discuss about the design and development of weapon systems. The DRDO is used in numerous areas like electronics, missiles, aeronautics, advanced computing and in naval systems.

The latest in the war on tariff is that, Rcom has reduced its tariff rates to 50 paisa per minute, irrespective of the network services, with immediate effect. This comes after Tata Teleservices introduced pay per second plan, ‘Tata DoCoMo’ in Jun 2009.
