RIM launched BlackBerry 3G Series in India

Research In Motion (RIM) refreshed its Pearl series and launched BlackBerry Pearl 3G series smartphone in India. The phone offers 3G usability and faster processing power. BlackBerry Pearl 3G introduced two new models, Pearl 9100 and Pearl 9105. These both models have same hardware but there is only one difference on the outside, the 9100 has regular a 20 button half QWERTY keyboard whereas the 9105 has a typical numeric keypad. Both models are handy and compact handset. The 9102 introduced for those people who do not want to get used to a full keyboard.
On June 11, RIM unveiled BlackBerry Pearl 3G in Mumbai for Indian market at elaborate function and made India one of three privileged country in the world. Pearl 3G series smartphones are loaded with exciting features and unmatchable brand name of BlackBerry. The phone is powered with 624 MHz processor which provides superb processing speed and allows users to access 3G networking technology easily. The device has 256 MB flash memory and supports up to 32 GB extendable micro SD / SDHD cards to create, save and store or access more or heavy data and information.
The BlackBerry Pearl 3G also has 3.2 MP camera which includes autofocus, zooming and flash options. The Managing Director of RIM, India, Frenny Bawa told, “The new BlackBerry Pearl 3G has a rich set of communications and multimedia features in an incredibly compact and sleek design, making it particularly attractive to customers who are looking to upgrade from a traditional cell phone to a powerful 3G handset. Both models enable quick and easy text input for maximum enjoyment of real-time communications applications like BlackBerry Messenger, email and social networking.”
The pricing of this phone has not been declared yet but the industry experts estimated price range between 20,000 to 30,000 rupees.
